Hello And Welcome
I am Claire Shaw owner of GoldStar Cleaning Services in Cotgrave South Nottingham.

I was made redundant, including all staff qualified as Optical Technicians from Boots Opticians in September 2006 after being in the trade for 18 years.
I did not know what I would do for a career after being made redundant as I was not qualified to work in any other areas.
After giving it some thought and advise from friends and family , who kept telling me to try a cleaning job , as I was always cleaning my own house! I decided to give it a try , as I did find when cleaning I felt it was very therapeutic and satisfying having a clean home.

I started by thinking of a name for my 'Business' with help from my son Matthew and decide to call it GOLDSTAR, this name seemed quite fitting , due to loosing my twin sister Alison through metastic breast cancer at a very young age of 31 , and my son Matthew always associates Alison as a star in the sky , so I felt the name was perfect.

After advertising I received my first phone call , very nervous I attended a house in Owthorpe and presented myself , and got the job !!! The Thompson family is my longest standing client and is still very happy with my cleaning services.
My company has now grown and grown and I am so proud that I have now 6 ladies working for Goldstar Cleaning Services and our reputation of very high standards of cleaning keeps on spreading through our clients and their friends plus local advertising.

We are a family run business who cater for our clients needs , we charge by the hour so you know exactly how much we charge with no hidden extras .
